Description

Smooth irritations and firm the contours of your beautiful face with Jenicoh’s iFIRM Corrective Serum.

Our Aloe vera based serum brightens by using a blend of Vitamin C and Kakadu Plum Extract, while soothing the skin. This is due to the wonderful restorative properties of the blend of potent botanicals, which nourish and provide nutrients to the skin and are packed with tiny pearls of potent actives that support collagen production and skin repair.

Using a high concentration of potent botanicals, minerals and vitamins such as Liquorice Root, Mandarin, White Tea Leaf Extract and Marine Collagen, this special formulation brings a natural glow to your facial features by gently exfoliating the skin to prevent blackheads and congestion.

Skin feels firmer, healthier and younger. This is achieved by combining botanical ingredients holistically with the latest in beauty technology in order to improve the texture of oily, combination or problematic skin in a gentle, smooth way that feels so good.

INGREDIENTS

SPOTLIGHT INGREDIENTS

Honey
Honey Ingredient Jenicoh
Raw Organic Honey has antibacterial properties and skin-saving antioxidants. Much of Honey’s antibacterial properties come from hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), which is a powerful antimicrobial that can kill even antibiotic-resistant bacteria like MRSA. That’s part of what makes honey so effective at treating wounds. Honey is acidic, with a pH between 3 and 4, which is great for breaking down and clearing away dead skin cells. Honey heals wounds through its ability to attract and hold water away from wounds, allowing the wounds to heal faster. Honey is a natural humectant, meaning it helps draw moisture into the skin. The organic acid in Honey, like gluconic acid, accelerates the shedding of dead skin cells.

Aloe vera
Aloe Vera Ingredient Jenicoh
Aloe vera is rich in Vitamins C and E as well as beta carotene, which gives it its nourishing and anti-ageing qualities. It moisturises the skin without making it greasy. Aloe vera gel also contains two hormones: auxin and gibberellins. These two hormones provide wound healing and anti-inflammatory properties that reduce skin inflammation. A crucial element found in Aloe vera gel is a complex carbohydrate known as acemannan, which allows nutrients to reach the cells, nourish them and at the same time relieve them of toxins.

Licorice Root Extract
Licorice Root Ingredient Jenicoh
Liquorice Root is rich in glycyrrhizate, an effective tyrosinase inhibitor to help prevent hyperpigmentation.
Liquorice Root contains around 2-9% glycyrrhizin. Clinical trials have shown that glycyrrhizin, when applied topically, mimics cortisol, meaning that it has a soothing effect on acne-prone skin and a redness-reducing effect on sensitive skin. Apart from that, Liquorice contains another potent natural anti-inflammatory agent – licochalcone.
Thanks to the high levels of glabridin Liquorice is an excellent natural skin brightener. Being a phytoestrogen, glabridin serves to aid in the prevention of hyper pigmentation and dark spots caused by UV radiation. They gradually brighten the complexion, to reveal more glowing, clear skin, free of imperfections. Studies have found that glabridin activity stimulates the production of collagen, thus reducing the depth of scars and wrinkles, which leads to visible improvements in skin texture.
Another beneficial compound found in Liquorice Extract is liquiritin. A study conducted in Egypt, which was aimed at treating melasma (skin discolouration) with liquiritin, confirmed the ability of this extraordinary compound to reduce skin discoloration. With a noticeable improvement in 80% of the cases after 4 weeks, liquiritin is considered to be as effective as hydroquinone. When used in emulsions, Liquorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) can also enhance the penetration of other active ingredients into the skin.
